Alex Morrissette grew up playing Little League baseball in Calgary from 2004 to 2010. In 2011, he was drafted by the Babe Ruth Giants and went on to play four seasons within the Babe Ruth program, continuing his development in competitive baseball.
Alex began his coaching career in 2015 with the Giants, starting as an assistant coach and steadily progressing through the organization. He later became a Club Manager with the Giants and a Lead Technical Director with Babe Ruth Calgary, helping guide player development initiatives across the program. Along the way, he was part of championship-winning teams in 2016 and 2017.
Throughout his coaching career, Alex has led and supported numerous travel teams within Babe Ruth Calgary across multiple age levels. In 2024, he served as Head Coach and Manager of the 14U Longhorns, representing Canada at the Babe Ruth World Series.
In addition to his work with Babe Ruth Calgary, Alex has worked closely with Diamond Dawgs since 2016. He specializes in teaching outfield defense, base running, and hitting, and continues to coach youth groups within the program.
Alex joined the Babe Ruth Calgary Premier stream in 2025 as the 16U Head Coach. He currently serves as the 18U Head Coach and Program Director, where he oversees athlete development and upholds the competitive standards of the Premier program. His leadership, technical expertise, and long-term commitment to player development continue to shape the direction and culture of Babe Ruth Calgary.
Steve Lamb has been involved with the Babe Ruth Calgary Premier program since its inception and has coached at the premier level for the past five seasons. In the program’s early years, he assisted regularly at practices in a variety of capacities, helping to establish the strong foundation and culture that continues today. In total, Steve brings approximately 15 years of coaching experience to the organization.
As a player, Steve competed with Bowridge Little League, where a highlight of his youth career was attending the Canadian Little League Championships in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. He went on to play Babe Ruth throughout his teenage years, competing with several AAA Blues teams during his time in the program.
After relocating to British Columbia in the early 2000s, Steve remained deeply involved in the game, coaching primarily with Forest Hills Little League at the Majors and Minor levels. His extensive experience as both a player and coach allows him to bring perspective, consistency, and a long-term development focus to the premier program. Steve is committed to supporting athlete growth, fostering strong team environments, and upholding the competitive standards of Babe Ruth Calgary.
Cole Bingleman grew up playing Cal West Little League before joining the Babe Ruth program, where he played for six years. This marks his 11th year involved in Babe Ruth baseball, including six years of coaching experience. Cole began his coaching journey at the Tier 4 level, now 54/80, and steadily progressed to the Premier Baseball program. This will be his second season coaching at the Premier level, bringing both experience and perspective to the program.
Cole has also coached multiple travel ball teams, further broadening his experience working with developing athletes in competitive environments. His experience at both the local and competitive levels allows him to provide athletes with guidance, mentorship, and a strong understanding of what it takes to succeed in baseball.
Max Prevost grew up playing baseball in Calgary, competing with organizations including Bow Ridge, Calgary Cubs, and Babe Ruth. Following his final year of youth baseball in Calgary, he committed to the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades in Abbotsford, British Columbia. During his three years playing for UFV, Max contributed to a championship-winning season in his second year.
Max brings both local and post-secondary playing experience to the Premier Blues coaching staff. After returning home to Calgary, Max began his coaching career in the Babe Ruth League, serving two summers in 2023 and 2024. In November 2025, he joined the Premier Blues program, continuing his commitment to developing young athletes within the Calgary baseball community.
His time at the university level helped shape his understanding of teamwork, positivity, discipline, and resilience — qualities that now influence his coaching philosophy.
Drew Vanderveen played six years of baseball with Babe Ruth Calgary before continuing his career at the University of the Fraser Valley, where he competed for four seasons as a pitcher. During his collegiate career, he was fortunate to be part of the University of the Fraser Valley team that captured the 2024 Canadian College World Series championship.
Drew has spent the past two seasons coaching within the Babe Ruth league, where he has worked closely with developing athletes and focused on building strong, competitive team cultures. During that time, his teams were fortunate to capture two league championships. His playing experience at both the club and collegiate levels, combined with his passion for athlete development, allows him to bring leadership, structure, and a commitment to excellence into his coaching role.
Evan Beebe begins his first season as an Assistant Coach with the Premier Blues 16U program, returning to the organization that played a pivotal role in his development as a player.
Evan has been part of Babe Ruth since the age of 15, competing one season at the 16U Premier level and two seasons with the 18U Premier team. During his time in the program, he established himself as a dedicated and versatile athlete, competing as a right-handed pitcher and infielder. He is currently in his first year playing with the University of Calgary Dinos, where he continues to develop at the post-secondary level.
Evan's firsthand experience within the Premier Blues program combined with his time competing at the University of Calgary provides valuable insight into the expectations, work ethic, and competitive standards required to succeed.
Jared Hall begins his first season as an Assistant Coach with the Premier Blues 16U program, returning to the organization where his competitive baseball journey continued to take form.
Jared joined BRC at the age of 15. He competed at both the 16U and 18U Premier levels, gaining valuable experience within the program’s high-performance environment. He currently plays for the University of Calgary Dinos, where he continues to develop his game at the post-secondary level.
During his time with Babe Ruth, he was utilized as a utility player, demonstrating the ability to contribute across multiple positions. , Currently, Jared competes as an outfielder with the University of Calgary. His versatility reflects his strong baseball IQ, adaptability, and team-first mindset. He now brings those qualities into his coaching role.
