Travel Teams
Babe Ruth Calgary Travel Teams
Babe Ruth Calgary runs four Summer Travel Teams, all of which have an entry into the Babe Ruth Pacific Northwest Regional tournament, and all have the ultimate goal of winning that tournament to earn their way to the Babe Ruth World Series.
- The U18 Premier Travel Team plays a full travel schedule and they do not play within our main league. The U16 Premier Travel Team plays a half schedule within our league in addition to their travel tournaments.
- In addition to our Premier Travel Teams we have four Summer Travel Teams which are formed through an evaluation process. These teams are as follows: AA Longhorns 13 Team, AAA Longhorns 14 Team, AA Blues 15-16s, AAA Blues 16-18. These travel teams operate concurrently with the league schedule.
- Evaluations for Travel Teams (excluding the Premier Teams) start in April with travel team selections in May. This schedule allows travel team coaches to evaluate players through league games in addition to the travel team evaluations.
- Babe Ruth Calgary operates their Summer Travel Teams based upon player's age as of April 30th of that year.
- AA Longhorns (13 year olds - 13 as of April 30th)
- AAA Longhorns (14 year olds - 14 as of April 30th)
- AA Blues (15-16 year olds - 15 as of April 30th)
- AAA Blues (16-19 year old team - must be 16 as of April 30th and can not turn 20 within the calendar year - returning college players are eligible)

- After Summer Travel Teams are formed, each team will practice together as a group 1 night per week.
- Each Summer Travel Team attends 2 tournaments throughout the pacific northwest before travelling to the week-long Babe Ruth Regional tournament in July. The location of the Regional tournament changes each year, but will be located somewhere within the Pacific North West region.

Outdoor evaluations: Through April and May Travel Team Selections: Prior to May long weekend

- July 16th (check in day) Games are July 17 - July 22nd - Pacific Northwest Regional Tournament in Bellingham Washington (games in Ferndale) - Arrival July 15th
AAA Longhorns (14s): Summer 2023
- June 16, 17 & 18 – Helena Montana Father’s Day Invitational - Arrival June 15th

AAA Blues (16-18s): Summer 2023
- June 1 - 4th – Sherwood Park Tournament - Arrival May 31st
- June 30th, July 1 -3rd - Spokane Wood Bat Tournament - Arrival June 29th
- July 24th – July 30 (team check-in day is Monday July 24th) Pacific Northwest Regional Tournament in Calgary, AB. Play dates are July 25th - July 30th. Tournament ends by/on July 30, 2023.
