Drew Vander Veen | Assistant Coach has been deeply connected to the game of baseball for most of his life and is excited to share his knowledge and experience as a pitching coach. He pitched for four years at the University of the Fraser Valley ("UFV"), where he was part of the team’s 2024 Canadian College World Series championship run—an achievement that stands out as one of the highlights of his playing career.

Before his university career, Drew spent five years with Babe Ruth Calgary, where he built a strong foundation as a player and developed his passion for the game.

As a coach, Drew is committed to helping pitchers refine their mechanics, strengthen their mental approach, and build confidence on the mound. His goal is not only to develop skilled athletes but also to inspire the same love for baseball that has shaped his own journey.

Max Prevost | Assistant Coach

Baseball has played a major role throughout Max's life, providing invaluable life lessons and countless memorable experiences. Over the course of his career, he played for Bow Ridge, Calgary Cubs, Babe Ruth Calgary and the University of Fraser Valley ("UFV") Cascades, spending most of his time at shortstop and second base.

Max has been fortunate to be part of two championship teams—one with the Babe Ruth Owlz and another more recently with the UFV Cascades winning the Canadian College Championship. Both winning seasons offered meaningful experiences and lasting memories that remain irreplaceable.

Baseball is a unique game that continuously challenges players both mentally and physically. With that understanding, his goal as an assistant coach is to support athletes in developing the mental side of the game as much as their technical skills. Quick hands in the infield and consistent contact hitting were key strengths during his playing years—skills he now aims to share with others. He is eager to work with players who are passionate about baseball and dedicated to expanding their knowledge and improving their abilities.
