Role Description – Director of Travel Teams

 

Working with the Technical Directors, the Registrar, and the Treasurer, the Travel Team Director oversees administrative aspects associated with Travel Teams and is a member of the BRC Board of Directors.

 

Tasks include:

  • Reporting to the Board of the Directors
  • Coordinating with the Hotel Booking Coordinator to book hotel blocks for travel tournaments as early as possible (and monitoring changes to tournament schedules to adjust blocks accordingly.)
  • Monitoring the use of the Travel Team credit card
  • Recruiting Travel Team Administrators from the team rosters as provided by the Registrar
  • Coordinating the communication of travel team rosters
  • Creating and maintaining the “Welcome to Travel Teams Guidebook” and “Regionals Binder” provided to the TAs
  • Coordinating with the Registrar, Treasurer, and TAs to gather the Tournament requirements needed for submission by each team
  • Coordinating with the Technical Team to communicate tournament information to the coaches and TAs
  • Coordinating with the Pointstreak Leads on the use of the ipads in the States
  • Creating and monitoring the Travel Team Budget in coordination with the Treasurer
  • Approving expenses incurred by Travel Team Coaches and TAs on behalf of coaches or teams
  • Other tasks that may also fall under Travel Teams
